Oh good, I made the right choice to spend points today. I have spent very little money this year but I would like to stay platinum. No way on keeping Diamond unless my mom decides to buy some gifts (she just uses my number). I don’t have the money this year and I don’t need that much new stuff.
I try to only spend money if I’m getting extra points.

Question: does ulta run good promos year-round?
Context: I just became platinum this year, and am slowly learning how best to maximize savings/points. I feel like I’ve been making a purchase every week since the (now renamed) 21 days of beauty, and I’m tired lol. I’d love to hear how others strategize their orders! I also can only place BOPIS or in store orders due to a weird points issue a decade ago.

I am Platinum and have been since Ulta brought it out. I used to play the points game and the gwp game up until this year. It just became too time consuming. If I get an email like this one I will buy but I get so many emails from them and I just can’t keep up with them. I also feel really guilty because I have a medium Uhaul moving box in my closet full of the gwp’s. 90% aren’t even taken out of the bag. I’ve tried to give them to shelters especially domestic violence shelters and they won’t take them. I think I’m going to put them up in my buy nothing group. I open and use the fragrance ones immediately and save a few of the hair ones but I never want to mess up my skin care or other routines.
