Normal polish okay. Chrome goes everywhere. I lay with a Matt top coat then place my design ontop with a no wipe top coat/ gel & it just gets everywhere. What am I doing wrong?

YouTube tells me to do what I’m already doing. I’ve only being doing nails for a week or so, and loved it so far but the chrome.

  1. You can’t let it know you’re scared. Chrome senses fear. In February, I swore I finally figured it out. I achieved the perfect chrome look. Well my most recent set confirmed that I was foolish 😭

  2. I’ve been using a matte top coat, I buff a little bit, and then I’ve been using apres base coat for my chrome (not a top coat).

I realize that everyone has their own voodoo to make it work and this is just mine 🙂

The trick that helped me was base coat before your chrome layer, cure the base coat, wipe it over with acetone and then do your design with the no wipe top coat. Has worked every time for me since

  4. My 2 favorite products for chrome are gaoy matte top coat as a chrome resistant base for isolated chrome. I don’t have to buff it or wipe it or anything. It just works as is. And for full nail chrome application I like the v beauty chrome nail bond.
