I had never tried cat eye before, so I figured I’d try it on my toenails since they don’t show all the time in public. The salon told me it cost $10 more, which I didn’t see a reason for, but I agreed to. I don’t see the cat eye effect, though. I Googled it just now, and the search results said that there should be magnets waved over the polish to manipulate the metal to achieve the desired effect. They never used magnets. I don’t see why I spent an extra $10; do you?

They might have used a magnetic capable polish, but you need magnets to see any effect with a magnetic polish. So they messed up, or are nickle and diming you expecting you to pay an extra fee to use the magnets. Sucks that they charged extra for this!
Yeah if they’re using magnetic polish you need to actually use a magnet to pull the magnetic pigment in the cat eye line you see in those swatches otherwise it looks like any other boring shimmer.
