Hello! I used to have very bad acne but now after using benzoyl peroxide my skin is way calmer. However I still have breakouts and I almost never have totally clear skin. My routine as of now is switching between cerave foaming cleanser and SA cleanser, neutrogena benzoyl peroxide acne spot treatment, the ordinary glycolic acid toner, and la Roche posay sunscreen. This routine doesn’t really do anything to my skin other than prevent break outs

My skin: oily t zone, combination everywhere else, acne prone

Problems: uneven skin texture, hyperpigmentation, acne scars, small pimples, fine smile lines

Notes: 17(f), four season climate, I don’t wear makeup except for mascara

These are the products I’m going to transition to and hopefully see results from!! (BOJ sunscreen, BOJ foaming cleanser, Hada Labo Shirojyun Whitening Lotion, and torriden dive in cream)

  1. Hi, yes I agree, benzoyl peroxide is great. I suggest also trying the BOJ green plum toner. It has AHA and BHA, it’s very gentle in my opinion (especially compared to western products like Clinique’s) and has been amazing for my oily acne-prone skin. I use it daily, but if your skin is sensitive and you’re not used to regular AHA/BHA use, then slowly incorporate it into your routine. Have you purchased the products in the images yet, because if not, I have a suggestion for the sunscreen.
