Anyone else have a nail doing its own thing? My middle finger (how fitting) has decided it wants to branch out, literally. I think the sidewall wall on the left side is not attached as far down as on the right side.
I have already scoured Reddit for different suggestions and I’ve tried just about everything.
– oiling daily/extra cuticle care
– switched from square to oval, switched back to square to stop filing side walls
– did a big chop to start over
– filing nail to give optical illusion it’s straight
Anyways, I think I’m just going to have to accept that I have a strong, independent middle nail and support her on her journey.

Bodies can be different and sometimes things just grow weird. I have some nails that just do their own thing, especially grooves and curves. I think either way your nails are lovely! What a great colour on you!
My middle nail also leans the same direction as yours. I’m pretty sure mine is from the way I hold my pencil, so you can check that.
Yep! My left middle is just like yours. I try to file it to soften the angle. Since we stare at our nails so much it feels super noticeable but I’m guessing to anyone else it wouldn’t be.
Both my pointer finger nails turn in
My middle finger is crooked too. Nothing we can do and I doubt anyone notices
I’ve got a crooked pointer finger

Do you file with color on? It’s easier to see the shape with color on vs your bare nail bc the free edge can make you think it’s symmetrical/straight when it’s not.

Girl same
Both of my pinky nails, my left pointer nail, my right middle nail, and my right thumb are crooked. They’ve always been that way!
Yes! My right pinkie nail slants away from my other fingers…at Easter this year my sister & I discovered it’s the same for both of us, so we blamed our parents for their sub-standard genes, of course lol.
Also, both index nails curve down way more than my others once they grow past the tips of my fingers…irritating.
Yay for crooked nails and fingers! ❤️
On both of my hands, my middle finger starts being crooked at the bottom joint and causes the top half to angle slightly out to the side, instead of continuing to go straight up like the others:

Yes! Mine is because of the way I write! I’m kind of proud of it – if the nail is more crooked and my writing callous is bigger, I know I’ve been writing more often and that makes me happy 🙂
My middle finger is bent to the right pretty severely, to the point where my nail looks like it’s going in an entirely different direction.
My pointer fingernails are both crooked, pointing more inwards.
As well, my thumb nails are like trapezoids where the inside is longer than the outside.
