So I typically go once a month to a salon to just get a builder gel overlay, cause I like the extra strength it gives my nails. I said many times I was there for a builder gel. But the whole time she used powder and only cured it till the end after a top coat. I'm very unfamiliar with this technique or what she used. I'm just worried about how my natural nails will hold up when it's removed next time I get them done.

I'm just confused on what she did and what to expect next time I go in.

Powder??? So she didnโ€™t acrylic on you? Iโ€™m unsure what you mean. Maybe look up TAP Hybrid gel or Polygel.

I would just come in a little earlier than you normally do and get them soaked off + do a fresh overlay. Iโ€™m sure your nails will be fine ๐Ÿ˜ญ

  2. Was it a dip powder? Maybe look that up online and see if what she did matches. Dip powder doesnโ€™t need to be cured in between.

No they arenโ€™t ruined. Have them removed so you can get what you asked for. Next time, please say something when you see the nail tech doing something that isnโ€™t what you asked for.
