So I’ve been going through some sunscreens and creams lately (mostly Round Lab and Skin1004 — both great, but the prices add up fast if you’re trying more than one). It made me wonder where these products are actually coming from.

I know some brands do their own R&D, but a lot of them also rely on private-label manufacturers in Korea, China, or even Thailand.

Out of curiosity I dug into a bunch of suppliers that make Asian skincare for export — sunscreens, ceramide creams, hydrating mists, that kind of thing. A few of them even work with low MOQs, which surprised me because I always thought you needed big volume.

I pulled my notes together here if anyone’s interested: https://www.xchainova.com/source/cmg6htm3s0001ie04m29kr64d Now I’m curious — does anyone here ever pay attention to where their AB stuff is made, or do you just focus on whether it works?

  1. Just saw a video about some of the sunscreens have the same formula because they’re most probably made from the same manufacturer, and it kind of makes sense

Interested to know more about this.
