I think it’s to help get all the product out as you start to get low. Like, you put it on the end and it helps squeeze every last drop.
You put it on the end to squeeze out remnants. First seen in Sweden for toothpaste! Dr jart used to do it too.

It’s a twisty thing. You can put the top of the tube in the little gap and then twist the rod to squeeze product out (the tube rolls around the rod). It can help to use up product in metal tubes more thoroughly 🙂
Its to roll up the top of the tube on it so you can squeeze all of the cream out without having to apply a lot of pressure.
I think it’s used to squeeze out every bit of cream outta the tube? Like you slide it in at the flat end and turn it as you use it.

It’s a tube squeezer key. You insert the flattened end of the hand cream tube into the slot/gap of the key, then twist it to roll up the tube to squeeze out the remaining product.
