How does Jung Saem Mool Essential Nuder cushion play with the light?

Hi, I wear the Fair-Light or Light cushions depending on the season. One thing I notice is that these 2 will math my skin perfectly in indoor light, but when I go outside into indirect or direct light then seem to "brighten up" a bit.

And it's definitely quite noticeable in iPhone photos. Is this some processing trick of the phone or does the cushion technology "adjust" to the light somehow?

My previous Missha never seemed to do this. Am I crazy or is this a feature of the JSM? Thanks.
