My derm has just prescribed adapalene and said my acne isn’t severe enough for accutane. Is there anything left to try? I am down for spamed treatments / microneedling / or virtual consultations but I’m just not sure where to go, my skin hasn’t been seeing noticeable improvements

Don’t go too harsh on your skin. Do as the derm say. It’s better not to experiment with actives when you’re under a treatment. There’s a misconception that the more aggressive and active loaded product you use the better it is for your skin- which is absolute bs. The gentle you’re with your acne the easier it gets to get rid of them and prevent any further scarring. For the redness I feel azelaic acid is enough. I think you should get your routine checked by your derm once it seems like you’re using too many actives at once which will make it very difficult for your skin to heal
