Here’s my honest review on the Peripera Pure Blushed Custom Cheeks. 02 is from the Night Peri line while 01 is from the more recent Soda Cafe line. They are pretty affordable depending where you get them, I always found them for $8 on OliveYoung. I bought 02 Fluffy Peach a while back out of curiosity and the $8 price point and I ended up very impressed because of the color payoff and smooth texture. I would even say its quality is comparable to the Flower Knows gradient blushes which are 3x the price. Both blushes swatch similarly at one swipe but you will experience kickback because of how softly-pressed they are. I was a pastel blush doubter because of my experience with Flower Knows blue blush but 02 Fluffy Peach’s lavender shade actually brightened my cheeks. It’s a vibrant gradient blush that does the job so **02 Fluffy Peach was a 5/5 for me.**
Now with my expectations being so high from 02 Fluffy Peach I was really excited to try out a different shade from the line 01 Candy Pink because I wanted to give blue blush another try. I was looking forward to comparing 01 Candy Pink to Flower Knows 01 Blue Moonlight to promote it as a dupe but once I got to actually trying the Peripera…my hopes went down the drain.
Something went down with the formulation of 01 Candy Pink because it is NOT the same formula as the 02 Fluffy Peach I bought. I dont know if the Candy Pink formula was meant to be like this because I bought a repackaged version from the Soda Cafe collection. 02 Fluffy Peach was from the original Night Peri release but when reading reviews on the original 01 I found comments that were just like mine. If anyone owns 01 from the Night Peri collection please let me know if yours is dusty and hard-pressed. So Im just gonna put this out there:
**01 CANDY PINK IS NOT THE SAME FORMULA AS 02 FLUFFY PEACH**
When swatching Candy Pink with one finger swipe I was confused as to why I didn’t get the same color pay off as Fluffy Peach. It seems that 01 is harder-pressed compared to 02 if you look at my fingertip comparison (P2) 01 comes off like chalky dust. Very disappointed because the official pictures show 01 to be just as pigmented as 02. The swatches for 02 match their official photos but 01 is a lie unless you were to dig hard into the pan and layer swatches multiple times to get the same result. The arm swatch picture (P3) is how both blushes swatch from just one finger swipe. I dont have any base products on my arm but if thats how 01 looks like on my arm you can guess how it would show up on my pale face over foundation. NON EXISTENT!! Unless I really took the time to apply multiple layers to get some kind of brightening effect but thats time consuming in comparison to 02. I guess Peripera could not replicate the formula of 02 for this brighter pastel blue/pink shade. In this case the Flower Knows gradient blush beats the Peripera one I was hoping would be a cheaper alternative.
**01 Candy Pink 1/5 because I had high hopes from 02.**
