It really depends! BOF sunscreen gave me fungal acne, turns out my skin was not compatible with the formulation. I turned myself always from sunscreens with niacinamide cause I always feel my skin getting irritated hahah

    2. I loveee the ginseng essence water! On my third bottle now and will keep on repurchasing. I enjoy pairing it with Skin1004 Centella Ampoule. Makes my skin so hydrated and soft.

This is a great choice! Just avoid the BOJ sunscreen if you are super sensitive – unless you have rosacea or something though it should be fine!

    4. Haven’t tried the essence yet but the sunscreen was one of my first kbeauty products!

If you don’t like the smell of ginseng or like earthy plants Id stay away from the essence

I’ve really enjoyed the ginseng essence, and I actually just started using my 2nd bottle. It’s light and leaves my skin feeling firm when it does. I can layer it a few times, and I feel like it just locks in while leaving me with a little glow.

I got into AB around the time I realized I was suffering from fungal acne this whole time, and the ginseng essence was one of the 1st products I used. It’s so calming that my dermatologist had trouble believing my fungal acne was as bad as I said it was. It does well at reducing redness and inflammation for me. Not wanting to scratch my face off was a plus.

Trying again after the bots removed my comment.

Not an experienced user of AB products, but so far I’ve used the following toners: your listed BoJ Ginseng Essence Water, SoonJung 5.5 Relief, Haruharu Wonder, A***a 77% [the culprit of my comment’s removal], and Naturie Hatomugi Skin Conditioner. Out of these, the BoJ remains the one that gave me the most noticeable hydrating and plumping effect.

A few things to note from my personal experience: the effect is not very dramatic and is only temporary; it has a subtle ginseng scent that is not for everyone; it contains 2% niacinamide. As many people have been saying on this sub, you want to keep track of how much niacinamide you put on your skin throughout your routine, since so many products contain this ingredient.

My skin type: very dry skin in winters and combo skin in summers (US NE climate). I used the BoJ in the winter.

    8. The sunscreen is amazing but it’s not water-proof, sweatproof, or rub-proof. It’s good in a not-very-warm days, or when you’re not gonna stay a lot under the sun. Otherwise, you’ll have to keep reapplying it every now and then.

I use the Ginseng Water Essence twice a day everyday for almost 3 months now. Its my second step. Hydration only. You can add multiple layers. Refreshing hydration no other benefit. WRP
