Product – Hada labo anti aging emulsion. Size 140 ml
Skintype – Oily
Weather – humidity 91%, tropical weather
Usage – 3 months
Review – it has niacinamide as an active ingredient and it’s one of the top ingredients in the list. That’s why I got it as niacinamide upto 5% suits me in a lotion / cream form. Also, it has Shea butter as occlusive which means it can be used as a stand alone product without the HA in it drying my skin during dry weathers.
A very tiny amount is required for this one as it has Shea butter and feels very oily for oily skin in a tropical weather as I am in. It feels uncomfortable to be honest as it’s very thick and feels very oily on the face so much so that I would like an alternative. Also, the pic is zoomed and hence it feels more but it’s not even .5 ml on the back of my hand and it’s enough for my entire face and neck.
So, definitely a 140 ml bottle will last a year or so.
Coming to the benefits, I have not faced any acne in the last 3 months of using it. Also, since I am pregnant, my skin is generally good during this time but otherwise too I think it’s a good fuss free option for dry skin. For oily skin like mine, I don’t need anything else even during PM routine.
I don’t like the texture as it’s between lotion and cream. It’s an emulsion but feels like a lotion when rubbed on my skin. I like cream textures more like that of Bioderma ultra creme. It’s hydrating and Moisturizing due to Shea butter. But it doesn’t satisfy me in moisturization as I think creams do a better job in that and this one is way too light for that.
I am bored of it as three months passed and only 1/3rd of it is over. Phew!!
It doesn’t have much reviews online except on cosme Japan website.
So, overall 3.5/5 for hydration and Moisturization for oily skin in summers
