I don't really understand what it says to do here I've circled it in red. Do I apply it a serum and then then this product ? Or do I use this instead of my usual serum before moisturizer?

It IS the serum
In place of the serum? After cleansing? That’s the gist I’m getting from this but I don’t use retinol.
