I’m a chronic oversleeper so I often have to yank my clothes on and run to campus, and I’d bring a nine-panner, a quad, and a single black shadow to make my face up in the school bathroom. To downsize, I panned the two nude shades I used the most from the nine-panner into places of the two shades I don’t use at all in Squad Cosmetics’ quadlet called Serene. Now, I only have to bring two compact eyeshadow cases to campus if I need to, and only one if I need to touch up.
Before I transferred them, I had already panned the warm brown and dark brown shadows. 3-4 months later, it’s so bittersweet seeing the pan because I loved them so much! The muted warm brown especially was my go-to blush for three years now and I haven’t found anything to replace it with. I’ll be sad to see it go but it was well-loved. The Squad palettes were my first eyeshadow purchases so I feel accomplished seeing them used!
When the warm brown shade is wiped off completely, I’m thinking of depotting a part of my black single shadow to this quad to downsize my travel kit by one less compact.

That’s dedication to a product! I love seeing consistent progress over time. What did you do with the 9 pan palette?
