Climate: dry and cold western Canada
Skin tone: yellow
My skin is a mixture of dry + combination skin. and I deal with random skin issues from time to time.
This is the only sunscreen I trust after the sunscreen SPF manipulation scandal in the past.(I’ve always loved watery texture, though)
I will leave a short review as I bought a new one after using it up.
**FEEL**:
With dry skin like mine, most creams just sit on the surface, leaving that annoying white residue. But this P.calm sunscreen? It’s a game-changer. It melts right into my skin upon application, feeling as gentle as a moisturizer while deeply hydrating. And the best part? It never feels sticky, leaving my skin silky smooth even after applying makeup. Plus, it gives me this natural, healthy glow.
**SMELL**:
Hardly anything there. No unpleasant, sour scent like some other sunscreens.
**EXPERIENCE**:
Not greasy at all – it sinks in refreshingly. It doesn’t irritate my eyes.(I corrected it)
Last week, I played tennis for an hour under the sun, and it didn’t budge or leave a white cast, keeping me feeling refreshed throughout.
And what I love most is that it never feels heavy on my face. I use it daily after toner and moisturizer. It’s so lightweight and watery that sometimes I think I could skip the moisturizer altogether.
It keeps my skin more moisturized than when I used sunscreen from Elizabeth Arden ages ago.
It lasts almost a full eight hours per day, though I do make sure to reapply every 2-3 hours to stay protected from UV rays.
**FINAL THOUGHTS**:
9.0 / 10
I absolutely want a larger size.
To be honest, P.calm sunscreen is not cheap.
I guess it has a small amount because of the high quality.
So, I can’t apply it enough on my face. Instead, I apply it little by little.
I hope there is a larger size. (And I hope the price per amount decreases as well)
Oh, and just a heads up: If you’re looking for that super porcelain, whitening effect, this might not be the one for you since it’s more transparent and creamy.
But if you’re after naturally bright, glowy skin, this is definitely worth trying out. 🤣
**Current routine:**
(AM): Make Prem Safe me Foam Cleanser, Roundlab Dokdo Toner, COSRX Hyaluronic Acid Moisturizing Cream, P.calm Water Barrier Sunscreen
(PM): Same but with Mixsoon Centella Cleansing Water

Yesss that’s the only thing that’s stopping me from buying it, “PRICE”

The perfect SPF, I’ve been using it exclusively for a year or so now with no issues.

I have this sunscreen and I’m looking forward to using it!
But I am a little confused why this is the only one you trust after the sunscreen scandal. It’s manufactured by Kolmar, where a lot of other Korean sunscreens are also manufactured. I also wasn’t able to find independent testing for the UV protection. If I missed it someone please link me.

It’s also not a hybrid sunscreen, it’s a [chemical sunscreen](https://dailymed.nlm.nih.gov/dailymed/fda/fdaDrugXsl.cfm?setid=2dc19f13-1dad-470e-8267-3c72267f3156&type=display)
I feel like this is identical to round lab and basically the same as BOJ
I use and love their toner
