Top 5 Skincare Products on Hwahae for Various Product Types categorized by Dry, Oily, Combination, Sensitive, Acne-Prone, and Eczema

Hi! I’ve been a part of r/AsianBeauty for the past year (made a new account to make this post) as I start my skincare journey and this community has been a huge help in me feeling more confident with my skin. I wanted to give back to the community so I translated and compiled top 5 ranked products for various product types from Hwahae and put it in this spreadsheet:

For those of you who might not know, Hwahae is a Korean beauty app where people can input their skin type/characteristics and review skincare products, with which the app provides a ranking by skin type by skincare product. This theoretically provides a more accurate recommendation based on how people with your specific skin type has reviewed the products.

These are the product types I chose to include in the spreadsheet:

Lotion/Emulsion
Essence/Ampoule/Serum

Skin/Toner Pad

Cleansing Balm
Sheet Mask

If there are more product types/product info you’d like to see, please let me know and I’ll take that into account whenever I make another one of these :).

Three notes:
1. There’s actually not that much variance for the top 5 products between the different skin types.
2. These rankings are based off of reviews from (presumably) mostly Koreans so there’s probably a bit of bias towards east Asian skin — take the info with a grain of salt.
3. Some of these products are not AsianBeauty™.
