Name – Pola B.A The Mask

    Skin Type – Normal/Combo Skin

Skin Concerns – Hydration and Anti-aging

Climate – Humid, mostly hot year around, winters can be cold.

Daily Routine (Nighttime) – Double Cleanse, Acid Toner, Korean essence (2 or 3 layers), Hyaluronic Acid serum (activated with mist of water after application), thicker essence, moisturizing serum, face cream, tretinoin 0.5%, face cream or overnight mask.

Type – Foaming Anti-Aging Mask, tuberose Scent

Reason for purchase – Impulse buy

Usage – Once a week (sometimes twice) and on my third canister. Been using this product on and off for around a year and a half.

Pros – Deeply Hydrating, brightens the skin, gives a great texture and glow. Also really seals in all the products you used before.

Cons – Dispensing the product is a bit of a hassle, and you have to be very delicate with application.

So, where to begin with this off the wall and amazing mask. I stumbled upon Pola’s B.A line mask at a Japanese skincare shop. Curious about what it was, I ask the associate about it and she couldn’t really tell me much. Now even more curious I check out the product online.

“Ultimate anti-aging mask” – “Highly rich and concentrated foam completely seals the skin to maximise the penetration of its active ingredients” – “The skin will be dramatically clearer, brighter, plumper and firmer” – “You can see immediate results with just one use!”

SOLD. Even though I scoured for an ingredient list and couldn’t find one. I thought I would take the plunge and give it a shot. I got home, opened the box and was in shock. Warnings galore on the back “flammable, keep at a certain temperature, do not puncture or incinerate, only dispense upright (which is a really awkward way to dispense)”. TBH it scared the sh*t out of me, so I didn’t even attempt to use it the first night. But when I finally mustered the courage to use it, I was blown away!

The product is to be used as a finishing mask/Overnight mask. So at the end of your routine, you let the foam do it’s work and you press onto your skin whenever after a certain amount of time. The way my skin looks and feels after usage is incredible! It creates this foam veil/seal that’s feels incredible on the skin. I’m in LOVE with this mask! It’s deeply moisturizing, just brightens everything, and my skin feels just so bouncy and radiant after usage, the results speak for themselves. If you have any questions I’ll be more than happy to answer them!

Photo descriptions *disclaimer* still dealing with some slight redness from the re-introduction of retinol, the mask actually did a pretty good job at calming the skin as well!
