From my project pan experience so far, I’ve realized how absolutely important it is to purchase products that you actually love. The money I’ve wasted on dupes throughout the years far outweighs what the original products would cost. For example, I bought probably like 7 lip balm “dupes” that I really didn’t enjoy until I finally caved and bought the Summer Friday butter balm. And now I don’t reach for those dupes at all, so I’m down $50 and the product will probably expire before I use it all up, no matter how I try to aggressively hate pan it.
So my goal for 2024 is to never buy a dupe, and only products that I know that I love and will actually use up, and with satisfaction! This CT setting spray is my first purchase with this mindset. Yes, she was ridiculously expensive, but I will savor every single drop in this enormous 6.7 oz bottle, so it’s worth every penny!!
I also want to make it clear that I’m not saying that you should only buy expensive products. Like $3 Korean brow pencils are my holy grail and I would never buy anything else. Just make sure you actually love your makeup!! Quality > quantity always.
Does anyone else think this way??

Yikes forgot to mention that this is the Elf matte magic mist & set, in case you couldn’t tell from the pic, and the replacement is Charlotte Tilbury jumbo airbrush flawless setting spray. The elf spray was ok, but I wasn’t a fan of the nozzle. I prefer a fine mist and sometimes I’d accidentally drench myself and it’d make my makeup run.
The CT on the other hand is amazing. My makeup doesn’t budge at all, and the mist is so fine that there’s no concern about squirting myself in the face. I tried my friend’s first, then lusted after it for months before finally finishing the elf spray and going in for the kill. I regret nothing!!! I feel like the star of an old Hollywood movie every time I use it lol. 10/10. If you’re picky about your setting spray (because most ppl aren’t) and have some extra cash, I def recommend.
That is such a good mindset to have, I think I’m also leaning towards just getting the OG or my favourite of whatever category, even if it costs more. Though I’ve noticed higher end products have a higher upfront cost but tend to be larger and sometimes the same price or cheaper than the dupe if you look at cost per mL/ounce
