It’s a reusable press on and the instructions said to soak for 10 to 15 minutes in warm soapy water, and it just won’t fucking budge! I’ve added cuticle oil to the water and nothing, I’m about to just pry it off.

Prying it off is going to really damage your nail (and likely be painful), I strongly advise against doing that.

Do you have any acetone on hand?

Don’t t pry it off! I don’t know how to get it off, but someone here will. Give them some time to respond!

maybe try much hotter water and leaving it in for longer? do you have an extra nail in case you have to end up soaking it off?

    4. Whatever you do, DO NOT just pry it off unless you want to take your actual soul off with the nail bed.

Theres special disolvers for press on nail glue. Id buy that. Press ons are supposed to last through showers and washing hands/dishes so if they were removable after a 15 min soak I wouldnt even waste the money. That being said, your set is super cute <3

    6. What brand of glue did you use? Because NASA needs to study it immediately for interstellar hull construction.

    7. Long time press on girl here. Forget about reusing them if they don’t pop off on their own. Do NOT rip them off, do not pry or “loosen” them with floss. It will wreck your nail plate.

I know it says it’s for dip powder nails, but it works on press ons as well.

I just cut the nail down to my natural nails length, and I’ll let it pop off whenever it finally fucking decides to. The lady I bought the set from offers replacement nails for $5, so I’ll just buy a new nail when I want to use this set again.

I saw a Tiktok recently of a lady who swears by using oil to remove her press-ons. coconut oil, cuticle oil, whatever you have, apply in all over the cuticle, sides, and underneath whereever you can get it and then she’ll use a toothpick or floss to slowly pry the nail off. I guess oil breaks down the glue pretty quickly.

Throw away the soapy water. Go buy pure acetone and prepare to melt your skin off like a true professional.

    11. Get some PURE acetone and soak a cotton ball in it, press that against the nail and hold it together with tin foil. Wait 20 minutes and presto.

I’ve heard sometimes cuticle oil on the end of the nail where it touches the nail works. But you might wanna be careful and not peel it

You need to soak in acetone. you’ve got too good of a seal on there, it’s not getting underneath the press on to the glue. Acetone will break it down and then it should get a lot easier.

I would add acetone to the water and also use a dental floss pick instead of prying. Wiggle the floss under at the edges and then soak again, repeat every 5 minutes.

    15. Have you tried just using nail oil? I figure it’s a long shot with glue but that’s how I remove sticky tabs, I just load my fingers up with nail oil and give the nails a wiggle every couple minutes to encourage the oil to work its way under, and they release pretty reliably

Wow. Damn, that’s some strong glue! Whatever you do, do NOT pry them off. Best believe, you will fuck up your nail. Don’t ask how I know… 😅
