I can't really tell the difference between these two. Is it formula? Performance? Drying time? Shine level? Explain it to me like I'm an idiot, because that's how I feel after reading the descriptions.
Oh yes upon closer look I can confirm one of the bottles is red π§
Jk. I think the dries instantly one is thinner!

I’ve only ever bought red because this sub told me to. π

Clear bottle is their basic quick dry top coat formula (solvents, resins, plasticizers). Red bottle has the same EXACT quick dry formula, but has additives like Vitamin E, lavender extract, safflower seed oil, algae extract, etc. I think the additives help hydrate the nail.
EDIT: fwiw, I think the additives are pointless for a top coat since itβs not directly on the nail plate. The $2.00 markup isnβt worth it to me.

Honestly I use the clear bottle and I think itβs great. Typical longevity, dries real quick, zero shrinkage.

i have both and use both regularly. the red dries faster but the clear ive bought sometimes if the store is out of red and it works just as good. the clear doesnt dry down as hard its more flexible when its fully dry at the end (some people would probably prefer this). clear is not quite as fast as the red but its still faster than what used to be on the market years ago its still a legit fast dry top coat.

I use the clear for my swatch sticks and the red for my own magnetics
