I just tried a reflective glitter polish for the first time – very much an experiment. Aside from remembering peach toned polishes don’t suit me at all 🤦‍♀️ it’s made me think I’d love a polish with a much subtler scattering of reflective, vs. it being the singular feature of the lacquer.

So please share with me any examples of polishes you love that have a tiny scattering of twinkle ✨

Polish is Monarch Scattering Theory over UNT peely base and topped with Sally Hansen red bottle QDTC. (Photographs terribly; better in person if still wrong for my skin tone.)

KBShimmer Out of Sequins is a lovely silver reflective glitter topper – a perfect scatter of sparkle.

If you want that really subtle ‘twinkle’ rather than full-on reflective sparkle, you’ll probably enjoy polishes that use fine shimmer or scattered micro-glitter rather than true reflective particles.

A lot of reflective formulas are kind of all-or-nothing, so looking for ‘scattered holo’ or fine shimmer finishes usually gives that softer effect.

If you’re in Europe, I’ve seen some Diamond Nails shades that lean more in that direction — softer shimmer, more glow than flash, especially in lighter/nude bases.

You can also fake that look by layering a sheer neutral base with a very light shimmer topper — it ends up looking more diffused and less ‘chunky reflective.

  3. Extra Fizz by Plus Life Lacquer. I wish itnwas my skin. The reflective paired with some holo shards and scatter holo is DIVINE. I literally put it on everything I possibly can
