For once my impulsive shopping pays off and I got my hands on this before they switched to pre-order – what a great contraption! Did just as good a job of glass bead magnetizing my nails as my 5D spinner does. Was especially impressed by how QUIET the motor is. I was fully expecting it to be obnoxiously loud but I'm not exaggerating when I say you can barely hear it. It runs on two AA batteries, which we so thoughtfully included in the box so I didn't have to rustle them up myself.

If you're an avid magnetic nail polish wearer, this is absolutely worth the buy to cut down on the work!

I didn’t do full prep or be super precise with my polish application because I was just too excited lol, but I’m obsessed with the unplanned cohesion — kinda feels like I have infinity stones on the ends of my fingers!

Here’s the routine for this mani:

– 2 coats of a nail hardener treatment — I forget the name but I grabbed it and a good QDTC from Ocean State Job Lot (iykyk, my fellow New Englanders!)

– 1 coat Nail Tek Ridge Filler Formula 2

– 2 coats polish, each coat magnetized for 60-90 seconds (polish on my hand from thumb → pinky: BKL bog dweller, BKL the horrors persist but so do I, BKL mother was mine, BKL the water remembers, mooncat clair de lune)

– 1 coat of the red bottle Sally Hansen QDTC, again magnetized each nail for 60-90 seconds
