I was in Donki Japan, and as a guy who knows almost nothing about beauty product, I asked the lady who works there to help me pick products as a gift for my mother. I showed her pictures of my tiktok finds but she insisted that these are just “young girls trend” and that they are ineffective, and instead recommended me alternatives.
She told me to get the retinoid special essense, sakura facewash, and sakura cream, and if you know about how overstimulating Donki can be, I didnt have much time to research the products so I assumed that she helped me in good faith and I bought the products.
I then realized after returning home from Japan that it’s all under the same brand “Hirosophy”. I couldn’t find any reviews online about the brand which was very fishy. I’m worried now that the brand is a scam and that I gave my mother bad products that could affect her skin negatively. Anyone has any experiences with this brand? Is it safe?
