Sunset over the Bay by Emily De Molly may just be my favorite polish evar! Did the glass bead effect. Soooo stunning in all lighting, but MAGIC in the sun! I may need a backup bottle!
I do have a rant though..My mani was perfect…until I used Mooncat Speed Demon Topcoat! 😮💨 I used thinner with it first, because as many of us know, it likes to get thick and gloopy when it nears the 1/2 way point. It was fine, until it started to dry. The dreaded micro bubbles appeared and ruined the look of my pretty polish. It took a long time to do the magnetization so I was super bummed. So this morning, I went back over it with another coat of EDM on the nails that showed mico bubbles (which was most of them), and topped with my favorite topcoat, Sally Hansen Insta-Dri in the red bottle! Seriously, she never disappoints and works great on magnetics! I'm about to give my Speed Demon away at this point! So fed up with it, esp for the price. Anyone else over Speed Demon? For the high cost you'd think the formula would be on point. It's only perfect the first handful of uses, then it needs to be drowned in thinner and even then still doesn't perform! Grrr! 😤
Okay, so now that my rant is over, I'm just going to sit here and enjoy the morning with my handsome birthday boy. My sweet bernerdoodle Winston is 3 today!! 🥰🎂🎊

edit to respond to the topcoat rant: i’ve been over speed demon for AGES. My currant favourite QDTC is from Vibrant scents, its touch dry in less then ten minutes and it NEVER gets as thick and goopy as MC’s does even when there’s only 1/3 of the bottle left. I’ve heard people recommend cuticula’s qdtc as well! For magnetics I’ve started using LynB’s topcoat since its toulene free and doesn’t cause the magnetic to disperse like topcoats with toulene in it.
Your nails look so incredible! I got gifted this shade for my birthday and have yet to use it. Now I can’t wait to try it!
