Honestly, if they’re done well, most people won’t clock them as press-ons right away. Shape, fit, and sizing make way more difference than the fact that they’re press-ons.

I think they look fantastic. I wouldn’t have been able to tell if they were press-ons.

I think the only thing is they’re too perfect and uniform, which may be why some people pick up on them being ‘fake’?

i’d suggest adding a coat of gel topcoat to them. makes them look less fake. and always try to file the shape a bit!

I tend to wear press ons because of the convenience for my job and that it also tends to cost less than a salon trip. What I’ve noticed that helps make them more believable are these steps:

-sizing out each nail before hand (they should fit snug but shouldn’t be forced down on to the nail bed, and they also shouldn’t overlap on to the skin surrounding the nail)

-file the inside edges to help the nail fit, as well as filing your real nail to make it even so that the nail lays flat.

-cuticle care! Most nail kits will give you cuticle tools, make sure to use them it makes a huge difference in whether the nail looks real or not.

-after putting them on, gently file the tops of the nail where there is that weird edge.

Another tip if you want them to last a bit longer is to use chip clips to press the nails down after you glue them.

Obviously fake nails will never be the same quality as getting them done in the salon but if you take time do them, it can look like a great manicure. I hope this helps and those nails are cute af!
