ANYWAY I went for the very first time ever to get my nails done, and idk how to feel. I need someone to tell me if this meets general expectations, or if I need to go back and ask them to fix it.
The lines are just so uneven and messy, there's literal fuzz baked into two nails, and even some of the natural nail shaping feels off.
I love the colors, but I had to be PUSHYYY to get them. The pretty purple I chose I had to literally find in a book for her, she chose a burgundy color and when I said "no, purple" she stared at me dumbfounded. I looked up the color on my phone and she said "we don't have that". The owner next to us told me to go look in the color book, where I found the exact same color I showed. I also had to push for the right green and right blue, the ones she chose initially were not cohesive together at all.
overall I ADORED the salon experience, but I can never go to that specific artist again. I just need to know if these are reason enough to get them redone for free, or if I should just enjoy them as I can til I want a refill and try someone new.

Brooo this is so sad. I’ve never asked for a refund or gone back to touch up my nails but I would if they looked like THAT. Cute inspo though.
Ooofy these are objectively not good, while some (cough many) people are too picky in this group these are pretty rough.
Sadly not every nail tech is able to do every type of design. I know frenchies are seen as an “easy” design but they aren’t always. I would seek out an independent nail tech. It will be more cost but the outcome is better. Shops that are the in and out type tend to rush the nail art job and fight you on what you want. You can ask for a redo but I don’t think the quality will change much based on what you mentioned about your experience at the salon.
the fact that they are sticky and bulbous, and all the french is uneven gurl… get ur money back or at least complain. I will say if you don’t get extensions then they wont look like the inspo pic because ur nails are obviously shorter, but thats no excuse to have uneven lines or baked in fuzz

these are badly done overall, but tbh they were never going to look good just due to the length. I would consider getting a short extension at the very least if I were you to achieve the desired look

Besides the bad paint job… you have to get longer nails for this look to work. And you should have said something before at least at the white tip part like this isn’t what I wanted. Annnnndddd find a nail teach that specifically does nail art! This curve isn’t easy takes loads of practice xoxo 💋

Ooooh, sorry. That’s too much money for those results. Talk to mana, show them the picture vs your nails. While length definitely affects the look, this was totally possible. The technician can’t and shouldn’t say she can. She needs much more practice.

My jaw is literally hovering above the floor, just barely. That seems like a dramatic statement, but those nails… please tell me you’re joking. Like did you do these on your own and you’re just saying otherwise? I would definitely not have left any salon with my fingernails like this. You could’ve painted them on your own and still would’ve been better than what they did. In your case, I’m glad you like the colors and everything, but you definitely got got!
These salons are taking advantage of women’s tendency to avoid conflicts and will just pay for bad work like CRAZY. Awful.
