Okay I owe whoever posted the vertical mag style the other day a huge hug! The base color is so sparkly and no matter how I tried- horseshoe velvet, glass bead, cat eye- the dispersion would make it so dull so quickly. When cat eyes disperse it makes me so cranky, and velvet dispersion ends up looking muddy. Hours of work wasted! I’d be so sad.
Tried the vertical magnetic style the other day with Mooncat’s Epilogue to Utopia and got to see the purple shift for the first time! My already fav polish has even more dimension!? How could this be?
So I tried the mag style on my white whale today, GPL’s I’m Beautiful, I’m Mad. She’s so sparkly and gorgeous but no matter how hard I tried in the past to get her to shine, it never quite hit the way I knew she should. This. This is beautiful. I can see the duochrome mag shift from teal to purple. I can see the sparkly red base. Elated is an understatement
I’m wondering how many mags I destashed that could have been well loved by using this technique?
Base coat- Cracked Ridge Filler x1
GPL- I’m Beautiful, I’m Mad x2 @ magnetized 30 seconds on the 2nd coat each nail
DRK Magic Effect x1 @ 1 minute per nail
Top Coat- SH Red Bottle x1 @ 1 min per nail
