I currently have three coats of a glass/jelly polish on my nails. I like the coverage everywhere except my tips. There’s a visible difference where my white growth is. Is there a way to avoid this in the future? Should I put a solid base down first and then apply the jelly polish? I feel like this picture doesn’t capture it as well as it does in person. Thanks in advance for any advice!

*Edited to add the polish info.

A milky basecoat or solid colored basecoat will help with blurring your nail line, for sure.

You want a blurring base coat. The VNL (visible nail line) is a feature of jelly polish, which some people like and some people hate. Or you could look for more of a crelly finish, which tend to have more coverage at 3 coats, but they don’t look as juicy.

    3. My VNL is WHITE, shines right through! Like others mentioned, a blurring base coat. If you don’t have one, you can do a sheer polish first (something milky white, soft pink, etc) to blurr it out a bit.
