Hi! Ive dabbled in nail art for a while, but only recently started growing/doing mine after biting mine my whole life, so recently I bought half tips to try, and some new UV gel polish. I was hoping for some help to have them look a bit nicer?
For reference I did my cuticles and then buffed my nails then used una gella uv nail glue, una gella half tips, I filed them down after curing, then I used sally hanson gel polish base coat, then used beetles brand uv polish from Amazon, cured and did maybe 3 coats, curing in between. I put a sally hansen double duty top coat on. I feel like they still look a bit chunky and messy, particularly the sides. Any advice/tips? 🙂
I'm curious as well about moisture under the nails. is there a way to seal them properly or something to avoid moisture getting trapped and potentially damaging the natural nail?
I also attached a pic of my other hand which I obv didn't do any nails on because I nicked my thumb when doing my cuticles and also was having trouble gluing the UV tips with my left hand.
This is my first ever gel polish and nail tip application.
Thank you!

You need to be really careful about curing gel polish on your skin. It’s super dangerous!
Put on thin coats and use a detailing brush at the edges.
