I know these are pretty sloppy but as a beginner to doing my own nails and to press ons, I’m (mostly) very happy!

I’ve been trying to save $$ lately and also have been disappointed by various salons. Was hesitant to try press ons at first but saw a super cute Olivia and June cat eye set for $10 that got me curious. I was pleasantly surprised to have them last three weeks! I did have to do glue touchups here there, but considering they only cost $10 I thought I got really wear out of them. I think I’ve converted to a press on girly going forward πŸ’…

I had it ingrained in my mind that press are cheap quality and look tacky. Realize now that mentality is so outdated bc products have come a long way! I love that there are so many choices and they are fairly easy to change if I get bored of one style. While these may not be salon quality-– I think they’re pretty good for being literally a fraction of shelling out $80-$100+ for the most basic color and significantly more if you want any kind of designs.

The ones I have here are Kiss. I used a very thin layer of builder gel to protect my nails, buffed the surface after curing, then applied nail glue with the press on. I finished it off with topcoat. I’ve gotten some compliments (which I hope were genuine πŸ˜…).
I’m curious to find out how long these will last.

I know my cuticles look awful and cut up – – I’m still learning 🀞🏽would love any helpful tips on how to improve my technique πŸ™πŸ½

Super cute! And I totally hear you on the press on judgement journey haha

I’ll usually put them on at night and then add a touch of Vaseline to just my cuticles and cover with socks for sleeping to keep my cuticles from looking crusty from the inevitable dried glue, and that seems to work ok
