After 30+ years of nail biting, my new year's resolution this year was to kick the habit. I found this sub and have since rapidly accumulated an overly large supply of little jars of concentrated dopamine. I've enjoyed looking at my shimmery and sparkly fingertips so much that I haven't felt the urge to nibble my nails even once, but I think my next resolution is going to need to be to go on a no-buy. 🫣🀣

(The bottom row in both images is polishes I had been hoarding and ignoring in a shoebox since the last time I painted my nails as a teenager. They're going to have to go back in the box to make room for the newbies.πŸ˜†)

  1. Too real lol. It’s only been since late July since I jumped into the indie/boutique polish world, and have bought more bottles in these past 9 months than pretty much ever before lol. Before this I used to only have mainstream cremes

Me 2 months after I joined this cult, except with nail polish bags instead of shelves

    Bestie, welcome to the club!

r/WeGotPolishAtHome is a great sub if you happen to need a little nobuy.

  4. Me wife and I (both women) started collecting specialty polish a few years ago and my Lacquergram stash says I have 275 polishes. We’ve outgrown our 2 large train cases too quickly and now have a matching rolling cart.

We got my MIL into the hobby about 2 years ago. *Her* Lacquergram stash is 1130 strong. She is running out of room, so she’s started sending collections to us. She loves swatching and organizing her polishes and we regularly share pics of our newest manis.

There are soo many beautiful brands out there, y’all are gonna catch up before you’ve even realized it.
