I'm in the US and am interested in buying a product from the Japanese brand Hair Theory Labs (link is to their website, in Japanese). I cannot find this brand on any of the big AB product sellers and also many I've never heard of before. I've checked the following places:
- YesStyle
- StyleVana
- Olive Young
- Yami
- Japanese Taste
- Kiyoko Beauty
- Ichiban Mart
- Tokyo Beauty Box
- Buy Me Japan
I've also searched this sub for any mentions of the brand and can't find any. At this point I'm ok not buying it. But now I'm wondering: where do y'all buy AB products that aren't on the big selling platforms? Where do you buy the brands that aren't that popular on the global market? I'm sure there are smaller stores and services to pay someone to buy it in Japan and mail it. But I'm just not finding them through my googling. I'd appreciate any advice!

have you tried rakuten japan or amazon japan with a forwarding service? way more niche brands show up there than the usual western resellers
As long as its not a prohibited product (aerosol, alcohol perfume, etc), you can probably buy directly from the Japanese domestic site using a shopping service. There are about a million of them to pick from, just search for a “japan shopping service” or “japan shopping agent”. Its a bit more expensive because you have to pay a service fee and shipping twice, but it gets you the product directly from the source so I like it better personally.
