This sunscreen is my go to and was reformulated a few months back with niacinimide and coconut oil. Before that, it was oil free, fragrance free, niacinimide free, dewy, but not greasy, etc. Essentially, a super sensitive skin friendly spf with cosmetic elegance. At the time, you could still purchase it, but I would also see the reformulated version on certain websites as well. I never really worried because my local k-beauty store always had stock of this spf at its original formulation.

Recently, I went back to check out of curiosity and there’s no trace of the reformulated version. All the ingredients have gone back to normal and the only version for sale is the original formula.

Do k-beauty companies actually listen to their consumers? Why would a brand reformulate and then go back to the original formulation?

I’m not complaining whatsoever haha, but I’m just curious about the logistics!

  1. I can’t speak for kbeauty brands in general but I think Director has a rep for always researching to improve her product and listening for feedbacks from the consumer.
