I don’t know about the formulation as I’m not familiar with all of these products.
But Japanese products don’t list an expiration date.

This is the melano cc rich formulation, it’s pretty much the same as the original, it’s just a bit more viscous and is supposed to be stronger. Usually YesStyle sells this for $1-2 more than the original. In terms of efficacy, I started using this after I finished my tube of melano cc, and it seems to have pretty much the exact same effect.

This Rohto Melano CC was manufactured in February 2025. I don’t know when the reformulation happened but that should help you figure it out.
Edit: I found this out by checking the batch code of 5B2.
