I'm not usually a fan of matte on myself but maybe I'm turning a new leaf?🤔 I think bright and bold colours can look great with a matte TC, but I'm going to have to experiment more. For science. This is 3 coats of Sinful Colors Let’s Talk. Base is Nailtiques 2 + KBS Fillin Groovy. Topcoat is SH red bottle + SH Complete Salon Manicure matte TC.

I like to make my ‘toy’ colours matte. I have a lime green, bright blue like yours and red. They remind me of plastic toys I had as a kid!
I think magnetics, especially glass bead style, can look great mattified! Tried it on bog dweller and it looked like sea glass (excuse the poor application)

I’ve never used a matte top coat. How rough is the texture? That’s the top thing stopping me from trying one.

I matte-ified this fall gradient I did using ILNP colors that all had flakes and wow I LOOOOOVE matte + flake? It added so much dimension. I will reply to this comment with it glossy for comparison sake

Black and fancy designs in particular.
ALL polishes can look cool and totally different matte. Inlove flakie bombs with iridescent flakies matte, shimmers totally transform, and linear holos look like velvet. Matte can really make details in nail art POP and elevate looks.
I’m a glossy sparkle boy…but a smooth matte finish is sexy as hell!
I have a hard time using neons if I dont matte them.
