Hello all! I’ve been going to this nail salon since August and the first three times I went. I had zero problems, but after that, I started noticing that the tips of my nails have been chipping/rubbing very easily at one point a whole finger was chipped off. I went to a different salon just to try it out and although they weren’t as perfect as this salon makes them, those things LASTED! Through painting and picking and scrubbing with my fingernail, I had zero rub or wear and tear. Now I just got these done today and they’re already off the tips :/

They aren’t painting and sealing the tips. I’m not a nail tech, and only JUST started doing my own nails, but had been getting my nails done professionally for 20+ years, since I was an early teen, but I definitely know how important it is that the tip gets painted with the same color and sealed with a top coat as well otherwise chipping is pretty much inevitable in my experience. And I just started doing my own nails, and have only done one full set, but in all the videos I watched, articles I read, blogs I went through, etc., they all said how important it was to remember to paint the tip and also to make sure to put the top coat on the tip for this very reason.
They do a great job at Pasadena city College. Where they do cosmetology.
