Hi, I’m so sorry if this is the wrong place to ask or it’s already been discussed. I could only find info on the 2024 reformulation.
Just now, I opened a new tube of Aestura 365 cream and noticed a difference compared to my last one. Both of these were the 2024 reformulations and from YesStyle. One was bought in August 2024 and the other one was bought in March 2025 (double checked the orders and the August 2024 one was the 2024 version and not the old version)
The newest one from March doesn’t feel as watery and is more of a thick paste? It also has a plastic scent that the other one didn’t and doesn’t seem to have the ceramide capsules in it? I also noticed difference on the packaging. Just to double check, I compared it to one bought directly from an Olive Young in Korea (May 2025) and the texture feels the same as the August 2024 version.
I know that to meet the new US rules (I live in Canada though), a lot of skincare has been reformulated. And that Aestura was also launched into Sephora this year. I was wondering if anyone knew if the 365 barrier cream was one of them? Thanks so much!

to meet the new US rules? do you mean just sunscreen? i haven’t heard of any plain moisturizers being changed just to meet new us rules (and those aren’t even changing directly in response as that kind of stuff takes times — they had definitely planned to have us versions of their products to market way ahead of time and the timing just happened to coincide)
I wouldn’t be surprised – the abib sunsticks on yesstyle now follow non-Korean actives

US rules only applies to sunscreen.
The only skincare that has been reformulated for the US is **sunscreen**. Other skincare products do not have US versions. If it’s been reformulated then it’s reformulated in Korea as well
My guess is that they slightly changed the formula, and maybe even got additional manufacturers, so it can be sold en masse at Sephora. The reformulation restrictions with the US are only about sunscreen, because there are so few sun filters that are approved by the FDA (SPF is considered a drug in the USA).
