This is an EGF ampoule and I’m obsessed!! Honestly, I was always skeptical about EGF – this ingredient that sounds so sci-fi. It always sounded like one of those overhyped skincare marketing buzzwords to me.
Until I actually tried this. The texture is almost watery but with just enough body that it doesn’t drip everywhere. The first time I used it, my skin had that tight, slightly burning feeling after an AHA toner — and within minutes of putting this on, it was like my face exhaled. The redness went down, and it felt like my skin had been given a cool compress from the inside. Not sticky, not heavy, just… calm.
I grew up with sensitive, easily flushed skin and I’ve tried a ton of serums that either stung or just sat on top. I’ve been using it nightly for about two months now and the biggest difference is in how fast my skin bounces back from irritation. Small breakouts heal quicker, and post-acne marks fade faster than I’m used to. It is hard to put into words!!!
I’ve been using this every night since June and finally hit the bottom of the bottle. That’s when the trouble started: I went to several shops near me, even Korean skincare specialty stores, and none of them carried it. Not even a clue. I’ve been trying to hunt down where to repurchase but it’s been weirdly hard to find.
If anyone here knows where this ampoule is sold, please let me know

Looks like you stumbled on Histolab 😊 It’s actually a clinical skincare brand, which is why you probably couldn’t find it in regular K-beauty shops. They mostly partner with dermatology clinics and medspas, kind of like how SkinCeuticals operates.
I’ve been using this brand on and off for a while — in Korea it’s considered very reliable for post-procedure recovery (laser, peels, etc.), so derms reach for it a lot. That also explains why the textures feel so calming and “practical” instead of gimmicky.
It’s funny you didn’t run into their name when googling, but that’s because they don’t really market themselves to consumers the same way The Face Shop, or Innisfree do. Histolab positions itself much more on the clinical/pro side. But honestly, Histolab is way better than those brands — both in terms of ingredients, overall formulation quality, and yes, it’s pricier than those brands, but totally worth it hahaha
Omggg I love egfs!!! So underrated as an ingredient love them in my sheet masks. I always have the best glow the next day. Will need to check out this ampoule.
