I bought this Judydoll 3D Curling Eyelash Wand for the first time (from Yami, fulfilled by Yami, so I feel reasonably confident about authenticity), and noticed these little fibers/filaments on the wand. The picture is of the mascara wand, unused, right after I opened it and took the wand out of the tube. Has anyone seen this before? Is this normal or does it seem like a product defect? I'm just worried that there are little fibers/slivers of metal shredded into the mascara substance in the tube.

yes!! theyre lengthening fibers, totally normal and supposed to be there
