Hey, everyone! This is going to be a bit of a lengthy post detailing a bit of my journey, so if you’d like a tl;dr list here it is:

  • Torriden dive in line (especially soothing cream)
  • Laneige Cream Skin Toner
  • Celimax dual barrier skin cream, dual barrier creamy toner, noni ampoule
  • Pureskin disposable face towels

As someone with horrible dry, textured, acne prone skin I struggled a lot growing up and transitioning into adult hood. I could say that my skin concerns were there, but I never made the leap to start researching for products to truly make a difference in my skin and on my face.

I have always loved beauty and makeup, but I struggled finding products, especially a foundation, that worked well for me because of the dryness. It took me a while to realize that instead of trying to find a temporary fix, I should be finding a solution to the problem.

Over the course of the last year I have tried so many products resulting in a huge collection of products that I will either never use again, or I use every day. In this post, I am going to tell you what products truly worked in transforming my skin.

When doing your skincare, I always say that your face is like a sponge. A dry sponge takes more water than a wet sponge to absorb product— your face is the same way. You need to begin with a toner and/or an essence to form a moisture barrier. From there, following through with your ampoules, creams, moisturizers and sunscreens will not only require less product but absorb into your skin better.

my holy grail products:
* Torriden dive in line
– cleanser
– oil
– sheet face masks (insane amount of product, so hydrating you feel like you’re swimming in the face mask)
– soothing cream/moisturizer(!!!)

  • Laneige
  • cream skin toner
(expensive, but definitely an amazing product)

  • Celimax: specifically their line for dry skin

  • dual barrier skin cream

  • dual barrier creamy toner

  • NONI AMPOULE(!!)

  • Pureskin

  • disposable face towels
    (expensive, but long term results)

Now, I do not have a 12 step routine. The products listed are just some of my favorites and what actually work for my skin.

One product that did not work for me that I have heard so many people rave about has been the Atobarrier 365 cream— it broke me out so badly.

What I really want to focus on, though, are the Pureskin disposable face towels. At first I was extremely skeptical because why waste so much money on disposable face towels when you can just use a cloth one, or a plain paper towel for that matter… but after I actually used these, I could see why.

I did not realize how much bacteria a regular towel holds, and it hit me that after washing your face you’re essentially just reallocating the bacteria you just cleaned back into your pores causing acne and irritation.

Ever since I started using these, I genuinely notice a major difference including less acne, my skin feels smoother, and I feel completely more hygienic after my skincare routine.

Cloth towels, no matter how soft they feel at first, tend to get rougher with every wash and paper towels are scratchy, wasteful, and leave tiny fibers EVERYWHERE!!

While I am not saying that any of these products are an essential component of your routine because everyone’s skin is different, if you struggle with acne and skin irritation I truly believe that the Pureskin disposable towels, the Torriden products, and Celimax’s dry skin line will make a major difference if you have similar issues! (torriden soothing cream is a MUST HAVE for me though) 🩷
