Went to Japan for the first time and decided to buy their skincare for cheap. I’d heard good things about Curel, so decided to try. My skin is normal, on the drier side, but it doesn’t absorb oil-based moisturizers, they just sit like a greasy film.

When I saw this, they had 3 versions of the formula- I light, II moderate and III heavy, so thought – oh, a light lotion, meaning a light moisturizer, and will absorb into my skin. Imagine my surprise when I open it and it’s literally water – a toner.

Still confused. The box says it’s a toner that makes rough skin less rough. Can someone tell what was your experience with this product?

  1. It is a moisturizing toner, if you google what that is I think it’ll give you a much better idea. Basically just a lightweight watery hydration. You put it on before your normal moisturizer.

Japanese skincare lotion = toner in the rest of the Asian beauty world

What you’d typically think of as lotion is usually just labeled moisturizer
