I used the viral acenia mochi cleanser and my face gradually started getting redder with some raised bumps.. I have used different types of korean skincare products but this is the first time ever I experience like this. I have stopped all products now and only stick to simple cleanser and illyoon ceramide moisturizer. Did anyone experience like this before? Should i go see a dermatologist?

I don’t think that cleanser can damage your skin in one use. Unless your barrier was already compromised. Maybe it’s aallergic reaction to something?

How long has this been? If it is a few days it might just be allergy/ sensitive skin issue? Go see a dermatologist if it is longer than a week…

It is asign of broken barrier. A lot of reviews said actually that the arencia mochi cleanser is harsh, can’t name the creator of the video, but they washed their extra sensitive skin with this on camera, and instantly had their skin burning, red etc.

It can be damaged barrier, can be an allergy. Either way try to use not aggressive cleansers and good moisturiser. (I don’t know the products you mentioned) You can try dr. Althea cream. If it continues for too long go to the doctor

From what you’re saying, it sounds like this cleanser was too harsh for your skin. Maybe pair the ceramide moisturizer with a lightweight facial oil to help with the dryness/redness

If it’s damaged barrier, avoid using active ingredients! Use highly moisturizing serum that your skin loves, then lightly coat your face with pure Vaseline (it heals wounds)! I do this every time I accidentally ruined my skin.

Definitely seems like a reaction of some kind. I’d try and be very gentle and moisturize the next couple of days and if it doesn’t go away then go to the derm? When I had a reaction to Epiduo similar to this I made an oatmeal mask that helped calm the redness.
