So for context, I know I don’t have perfect skin and I’m currently changing from adapalene into tretinoin so my skin is a bit dry and peeling BUT I do have a good moisture routine (morning: wash face, then wellage hyaluronic serum and hada labo shirojyun lotion, skin1004 centella toner pads, canmake sunscreen) so it’s not that my skin is extraordinarily dry.
I never had this issue with other non-AB foundations, but sorry it can’t be that a foundation makes me look like a crusty oily hag after eight hours 😩 and I do apply the cushion the way you’re supposed to apply it (first a good skin prep, then take up some product with the puff, then tap it off a bit, then apply)
So is it the tirtir or is it me/my skin?! And is this what you call “oxidation”?

separation, not oxidation.
every product is different. maybe your skin prep/primer doesn’t play well with this foundation formula.
I don’t think that this is the reason, but you should use the toner pads right after you wash your face as the first step. You also might not need to be washing your face in the morning as it personally dries me out. The Canmake sunscreen is also known not to play super well with makeup, so I would consider Isntree’s HA Watery Essence Sunscreen and see if this improves
your skin does seem super dry and you need a thicker face cream for good primer. toner pads after the lotion sounds like a crime and that just might be what’s making it separate so bad
Is this your first time using a cushion?
A lot of cushion formulas aren’t going to be dry skin friendly because they go on sooo, so thinly. When skin goes through transepidermal water loss all throughout the day it’s going to draw from the hydration and moisture that the foundation has, leaving behind pigment, which will settle along the borders of any dry skin.
And because you feel surface oily, that’s another indication that your skin is dehydrated. Maybe not for the first couple hours, but definitely after 4-8 hours.
In Korea, most people touch-up with their cushions throughout the day.
As someone who also switched from adapalene to tretinoin, this happens, it’s the peeling skin and not the base makeup 😓 this happened to me even with tone up sunscreen.
