Makeup empties – with reviews (y’all this took way too long to write)

Here's all the makeup I finished this year and the end of last year.

• Maybelline Face Studio Prime: 👍 I liked it as it was pore filling and not overly slippery like a lot of silicone primers are. It's also affordable and takes a long time to finish. I could buy it again.
• Nyx Matte Finish Setting Spray (XL): 🤷‍♂️ It was okay for the price but the spritz could have been finer as we do appreciate the finer things in life.
• Isadora Face Mist Set & Protect: 👍 The spray was fine and nice. I'm not particular about any setting spray as I just want it to melt my makeup together and take away any powdery look, but I could see myself buying this again on sale if they still made it. Why is the bottle so small for a full size, though?
• Illamasqua Hydra Setting Spray (mini): 👍 It was okay. A bit pricey, I can find what I need for less money.
• Isadora Natural Matt Foundation in the shade 10 Matt Porcelain: ❤️ I liked it as it was mattifying and had good coverage, yet still looked nice on the skin. I did mix it with another foundation to get my shade, though.
• Ofra Abolute Cover Foundation in the shade 0.25: ❌ Ah yes, an expensive foundation that was the worst of them all. It was super finicky and it could get very patchy on me. As if it set while I was still blending it and then it would get blotchy. I couldn't make it work with a brush so I had to buy a makeup sponge and it did work better applied with a sponge. The undertone was very yellow but maybe that's just on me.
• L'Oréal True Match Foundation in the shade Golden Ivory: ❤️ Great foundation as it was matte, had coverage but still felt and looked lightweight. It was a bit dark for me so I did mix it with another foundation. The pump bottle was nice, too. In general I think L'Oréal has some of the best affordable foundations.
• My Clarins Re-boost Tinted Gel-cream (mini): 🤷‍♂️ I can't say much about it because I had to mix it heavily with a white foundation to get my shade. It seemed like a very sheer coverage product which can be nice but I prefer something with more coverage. It worked well enough as a mixer, though.
• Maybelline Fit Me powder in the shade 105 Natural: ❤️ Loove this powder. It's my favourite as it's affordable, mattifying and has nice coverage without looking cakey. I could wear it on its own if I wanted to look natural but still even out my skintone. I do think the packaging is a bit extra because I never use the mirror or the sponge, but I can see that some people could enjoy it on the go.
• Make Up Store Blotting powder refill: ❌ Meh, it wasn't bad but it wasn't as mattifying as I'd have hoped and I went through it very fast. I can buy powders that do a better job for less money.
• Illamasqua Loose Powder (mini): 👍 It was good but I feel like that about most translucent loose powders.
• Lottie London Ready Set! Go Setting Powder (mini): 👍 I also liked this one. Could buy it again if they sold it in my country.
• Random makeup sponge I don't remember the brand of: 👍 I only remember that it cost 5 euros and it's a like because it helped me get through the liquid of doom in the Ofra foundation bottle.
• Artdeco Colume Supreme Mascara: ❤️ A surprising fave. It was lengthening and thickening and lasted well on me. Am I gonna spend high-end money on this mascara when I can just get Essence Lash Princess? No ma'am, I will cheap out every time.
• Clinique High Impact Mascara (x2, mini). ❌ Why is this mascara so popular? It sucks. Doesn't do much and gets flaky fast. I have one full size left and I can't wait to not use it.
• Eyeko brow gel in clear: 👍 It was nice and crispy, helped my brow hairs to look a bit more surprised I guess. I don't really care for brow gels to be honest, as I've got hairy hairy brows but it's not like they flutter in the wind without brow gel so it's just an unnecessary step.
• Colourpop Lippiestix in the shade Ziggie (mini): ❌ It wasn't bad but it could be a bit drying. It was a pigmented, matte brick red and the shade was a bit too intense for me. The formula was nicely creamy, though.
• Colourpop lip gloss in the shade Paper Moon: ❤️ Sad to see it gone as it was a nice shimmery orange lip gloss. Nice for a neutral, fresh lip product.
