Not sure if this is the correct flair, please correct me if I'm wrong. So, I've always enjoyed the look of jelly nails but I usually see them done with gel polish. This makes sense, gel can create a multi-layered, squishy, high gloss effect with ease. (I especially enjoy it when there's a gradient).
It seems this type of style is the new trend. I'm from the UK and I'm noticing cosmetic and nail companies push a clean-yet-colourful aesthetic recently. The drugstore recently started stocking the Sally Hansen Syrup line and Barry M released 4 new shades in their sheer strength line. The latter also uses a high-gloss jelly theme in their promotions. I've used them both and I'm tempted to write a review at a later date (I need an outlet for my nail polish takes lmao).
But for now, I wanted to ask if people have used other polishes that claim to have a 'jelly' finish. I don't mind using multiple polishes and layering them, though I'm not at a point where I want to start using gel yet so air-dry stuff only please!

I’m from the UK too. I ordered my SH syrups from Superdrug and they arrived yesterday. Tried the blue out straight away and after 5 coats there started to be some blue showing. This was over a cats eye as I wanted to create the glass effect. It looks gorgeous but I don’t have patience for 5 layers plus.
I have an Emily De Molly jelly which had the opposite problem. It’s gorgeous on it own but completely nullifies the magnetic pigment for glass effect.
I have some other jelly polish coming from Rainbow Connection today which I’m hoping have more colour in them.
H&M have just bought out a line of jelly. So have Nails Inc.
Just read your full post and realise now you have already tried them. Was too excited for a UK nail enthusiast.
LA Colors is known for having good jellies.
Personally, I find the color too faint, so I just make my own. I use LA Colors clear coat as a base and then add in a creme. (Personally, I usually like about 20 drops of a creme, or a bout a 1:2 ratio of a crelly added in, but start with less and experiment.) Other people use alcohol dyes for the color.
Essence has some jellies, I tried the orange and it was very nice
