my friend gave me this as a gift, but it wasn't packaged in a box or anything. there wasn't a seal/tape on the lid either. upon closer examination, the lid is kind of scuffed with micro scratches and the palette seems off. i've never used an espoir product before, is it normally like this?

From your photos, some shades do look swatched. But could’ve also been roughed up from transport and/or storage?
It looks as if some shades are swatched. I feel like if it was damage from transportation, there would be more debris floating around, but your cover looks clear.
