I notice sheet masks (particularly right now im looking at a collagen gel mask)
and it says to "smooth out skin texture with toner before applying" Does that mean actually use an exfoliating toner like glycolic acid? or any toner like my purito one. Or do you guys just go straight for the mask?🤔🤔

It just means a hydrating toner, so the serum of the sheet mask can absorb better. No need for an exfoliating toner.
Since these particular instructions says “too smooth out texture”, I would say any exfoliating toner. Personally, I treat a sheet mask as replacement for the step of essence. So I double cleanse, use an exfoliating toner, do the sheet mask, then finish with a serum if I feel like it, then moisturizer.

hydrating toner. so it helps absorb the essence of the mask
