Night Skincare routine(I use this toner only at night)- (I use actives on some nights) kiku lotion, Cezanne deep conditioning toner, isntree yam root toner, pyunkung Yul Intensive Ceramide Lotion.
Review- I am a fan of milky toners so I wanted to try this one out when it launched. Kelly Driscoll said this could be a dupe for the laniege skin refiner, so I had high expectations.
Starting off, the texture is very lightweight and watery, even though there are oils in it. It’s hydrating and makes the skin smooth to touch after applying. The colour is milky white and has some white particles (which are the yam root extract particles I assume). The bottle has to be shaken before applying. There is no fragrance.
There is no sticky sensation and I’m able to apply 2 layers. I get the glass skin effect after I complete my skincare routine. I use this in conjunction with other toners, so I can’t say if it’s just because of this toner. I find it more hydrating than moisturising. The cholesterol and oil extracts give that plumping effect.
I have been using it for almost 5-6 months and I’ve used 65% of the 200ml bottle. It’s not very expensive as well. I got it for $12 on sale.
My personal thoughts – This is a solid hydrating/slightly moisturising toner, especially for winters. I won’t repurchase it as I like trying out different alternatives.
