Hey everyone!

I wanted to share my thoughts on the Nivea UV Super Water Gel Ex, especially for those of you looking for a water-resistant sunscreen. I have oily skin, use adapalene at night, and live in a warm and humid country. I haven't tried the non-water-resistant Nivea UV Super Water Gel, which is why I was so excited to try this water-resistant version. Here’s my take on this sunscreen:

What I Like:

  1. Cosmetically Elegant: This sunscreen spreads effortlessly across the face and works beautifully under makeup without making me oil up. The consistency is similar to Biore Aqua Rich Watery Gel but feels more elegant. I actually prefer this as my face sunscreen due to its cosmetic elegance. The finish is like a light moisturizer layer on my skin.

  2. No White Cast: This sunscreen leaves no white cast, making it ideal for all skin tones.

  3. Doubles as Moisturizer: It can act as both a moisturizer and sunscreen in one, which is a bonus for simplifying my routine.

  4. Not Greasy: Although there’s a bit of oil detected on blotting paper after application, my face doesn’t look greasy at all.

  5. Sweat Resistant: It stays put even after sweating a lot during my gym session.

Cons:

  1. Contains Alcohol: While it has alcohol, it doesn’t sting or smell overwhelmingly of alcohol.

  2. Added Fragrance: The sunscreen has a faint floral and powdery scent. I can smell it right after application on my face, but the scent fades and becomes unnoticeable after about 30 minutes. On my body, the fragrance is only detectable if I purposely smell my skin.

  3. Not Friction Resistant: The sunscreen doesn't claim to be friction resistant. This is why I still prefer the Kose UV Super Water Gel and Biore Athlizm for sports.
